"Beautiful" - Jim Brickman
11.17.05 (9:52 am)   [edit]
From the Moment I saw you,
from the moment I looked into your eyes
there was something about you
I knew I knew
that you were once in a life time
a treasure near impossible to find
and I know how lucky I am to have you

Chorus:
Cause I've seen the rainbows that can take your breath away
the beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day
and when it comes to shooting stars, I've seen a few
but I've never seen anything...as beautiful as you

Holding you in my arms
no one else has fit so perfectly
I could dance forever with you, with you
and at the stroke of midnight
please forgive me if I can't let go
cause I never dreamed I'd find a Cinderella of my own

Chorus:
Cause I've seen the rainbows that can take your breath away
the beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day
and when it comes to shooting stars, I've seen a few
but I've never seen anything...as beautiful as you

Chorus repeat:
Cause I've seen the rainbows that can take your breath away
the beauty of the setting sun that ends a perfect day
and when it comes to shooting stars, I've seen a few
but I've never seen anything...
Oh Oh, Oh no, I've never seen anything...as beautiful as you

from the moment I saw you,
from the moment I looked into your eyes...

this is a pretty, and fantastical (is that a word? ..i mean, not fantastic, but, fantasy) song. Cat, I think you'll like it - if you don't know it already :)

You know. It's better to not promise or say anything, than to say something, promise it, and then are unable to fulfil that promise. I think this is why I often don't say much, but when I say it, I mean it, and I rarely don't fulfil my promises - because I won't promise what I know I can't guarantee. I'd rather regret not having said something, than to have said that something (in any context) and realise that I don't really mean it.

yeah, i'm not a big fan of ppl making promises they can't/dont keep.
i concur. better to not say anything than to fall through on promises.

i'm dl'ing the song as i'm typing this. :) i'll let u know what i think.
And since when are there lyrics to Brickman's songs?!!
all the songs i have by him are totally piano only!!

I agree with you Mandy..it's better that way. It's like those people you run into who say "let's get a coffee sometime" and they have no intention of going through with it...why bother saying it? ..so good point.
and yes I do read your blog and regularly at that.

Ok so I stumbled on this site doing a lyrics search, and I researched the song futher. Here's the deal. There are two versions of the song: the single that airs on the radio (and on the Cinderella soundtrack) is only Jim Brickman, and has that cool line about finding a "Cinderella of my own." Then there's the LP version, which features All 4 One, and has slightly different lyrics.

CORRECTION to my above post: Okay, I got it wrong a little bit. The single with only one singer is not Jim Brickman, it's Jim Brickman on piano and Wayne Brady singing, and the name of the single is "Beautiful (Christmas version)." The other song is the LP release, with Jim Brickman again on piano and I believe, All 4 One singing.

wait, when u say "LP", what does it stand for? Because the first thing that came to mind was Linkin Park. and I'm PRETTY sure they wouldn't play this song...
