I find that I am at my almost-worst when I need to think about the future.

I need to register for school next year, and I don't know if I want to just finish my 3year major, and then just be part time for half the year next year (ie: only do school for the first semester, and work second semester), then move on to find a job, and/or do college at some point later on.
Or if I want to do a specilization in CS.
Or do a major in CS and minor in Sociology.

According to some people, I should do what will get me a job. But honestly, I don't see myself getting a computer related job much. I don't see me getting A job. who's gonna hire me? I'm not confident in my work, and that's what alotta ppl look for. And im' moody. Who wants a moody, unconfident employee? I wouldn't.

I hate decisions. I hate change. I fear change. I fear unsettled situations. I fear life. I fear.

What am I gonna do with my life? what am I gonna do with this registration stuff? suggestions?

hellooooo!

so i kinda know what you're going through... i have about 2 months to figure that stuff out...minus the registration stuff. :D
i just keep reminding myself that it'll work itself out. stuff usually does.

and as for the 'who'd want to hire me thing', i think you're beating yourself up just a BIT!! i've seen you work at SC and i'd say you're pretty good with the whole customer service thing, and that's what a lot of employers want.
plus, remember that there are a LOT of miserable ppl in the world, and a lot of them seem to have jobs! :D
u could always work 'in the back' if you want.
atleast for now.
A friend of mine worked in a company where the Banking people got to listen to music while they worked!
no real pressure, in and out every day at 9am and 5pm...
that's the kinda job i want. Customers get kind of annoying after a while. ;)

and about next year, i thought you were gonna do a major in CS and minor in Comp Engineering?
i say, just lay the options out on the floor, close your eyes and spin in circles. The option that you fall on is the one to take! :D

i know... "it's like a life altering decision that shouldn't be taken lightly." but whenever i think about whether my choice to study Finance and Admin was a good idea, i just remind myself about the countless stories i've heard from ppl about friends/family members who have studied one thing in school and ended up doing something totally different.

so hey... give yourself time!
you've got a year, choose a major/minor combo and stick with it.:)
then in a year and a bit you can worry about 'after school' plans.
:)
love u!
(yikess...that was long!)

Wow ...it's hard to add anything to what Cat said, but she's right. My cousin did a major in biology or ecology or something and is in business now.. so who knows where you'll end up. There are tons of jobs and people are super in demand, even if it's just a desk job, you have plenty of skills that other people don't . As for whether to continue with school, do you think you want to start working already? or do you want to keep up this life.. and if you stop now with future plans to come back, do you think you will? (I know, I probably wouldn't come back after I started working). Anyway, you're a smart cookie, despite what you think and you're a loyal, hardworking employee, which is something that employers love. Unfortunately, no one can sit you down and tell you what to do, well they could, but no one is going to take that responsibility. I think that you probably already know what you want to do. And discussion is key... and back to Cat- lay it out on the floor and compare.

"I release my fear of the future."

Acknowledging that you have a fear of the future gives you the opportunity to release this. Once labeled, you are in a position rearrange your mind-pattern. Allow yourself to release your fear of the future so that you can now look forward to the adventures that your future brings.
